This has been a sad week for my family. My mom's grandpuppy, Nugget, passed away. Nugget was the daughter of my mom's pup Charcoal and was a lovely little girl. I wasn't going to post anything, because frankly the thought of it makes me very upset, but mom asked me to write about Nuggie.To all of you out there who love your pups please be careful with them. For anyone out there with big dogs, please make sure to keep them restrained and on a leash. People who get animals and do not take precautions to keep them out of other people's yards make me so upset! Irresponsible pet owners suck! Sorry, I shall step off of my soapbox now!

Thank you Dorkys. It has not been easy to deal with. She was attacked by a pitbull that was running around loose. :(
I am still so sad about my little Nugget. She would come over in the afternoons when I came home so I could feed her out of my hands. My article will be in the paper this week about irresponsible pet owners that need to keep their dangerous pets in a safe place. It's too late for my baby, but maybe it can save someone else's beloved pet. Thanks Heather for the post. I love you, Mom.

I'm so sorry. Is your Gram going to press charges against the pitbull's owner for allowing it to be without a leash? I hope something legal happens to the other dog's owners.

AngelHeart-my mom actually had a letter in the paper today that she wrote about dog owners who do not abide by the leash laws and has also been to the police department about this issue. Hopefully she can get the fact that most people do not care about the leash law changed before someone else has to suffer this tragedy.
