And upon my return you should expect lots 'o pictures, many may possibly include mouse ears, palm trees and random beaches. Also with any luck you may also get celebrity spotting stories and with a whole lot of luck maybe yours truly will meet Robert Downey Jr. Honestly I am not holding my breath on the last one, but hey what is life without a dream!

On My Radar
This week I am loving chain detailing. So rocker chic!
Stella McCartney consistently makes swoon worthy bags and the 'Falabella Cracle' is no exception. The spearmint shade is gorgeous!
The MICHAEL Michael Kors Oversize Chelsea Python-Embossed Clutch is such a great neutral in gunmetal!
And for the girl who does not want to throw down their mortgage payment for the Stella McCartney, or their car payment for Michael, Express has their Chain Wrapped Envelope Clutch for a steal! I must say that I saw this one in the store and the quality and look were great!

Weekend Recap
The weekend was cut short due to overtime, but I still had time to get some necessities done..such as packing for my upcoming trip, and like 1,000,0000,000,000 others out there making up a wish list for what I would do when I hit the lottery. Obviously the lottery list will have to wait, but such is life!
Studying took up part of my day. My company has enrolled me in Rosetta Stone to learn Spanish. If you have wanted to learn a new language this is really a great way to go about it. I had gone back and forth about purchasing Rosetta Stone in the past, but it is pretty pricey. When I found out my work was going to cover it I felt very fortunate. Once I master Spanish I have plans to purchase the French lesson myself. After working with it I do feel it is well worth the money.
Fighting with the pharmacy/Aetna trying to get my acid reflux pills took up most of my afternoon. After several hours and $98 I now have 15 pills! According to the insurance website I should have gotten 30 pills for a $50 copay, but they always have a loophole! One month they pay, the next month you have a hassle. It is enough to make you want to pull your teeth out...but don't expect the insurance company to pay for dental work either!
My lunch date makes any silly worries go out the window though!
I hope you all are having a fun and eventful weekend!!

Redken and Glamour Celebrate Diamond Oil
Last night I attended an event at David, Etc. in Houston. This was a collaboration between Redken and Glamour to get the word out about the new Diamond Oil line. Using an exclusive formula of silicone free hair oils, Diamond Oil helps to strengthen and protect hair. Bonus points are also given for the fact that it makes hair super shiny and sparkly!
Here are a few pictures of my friends and I being pampered with Redken:
We had a great time with the fine folks at David, Etc. I highly recommend you to stop by the salon if you live in the Houston area and let them give you the rundown on Diamond Oil. If not in the area you can find more info at Redken! And as always thanks to Glamour for the opportunity to learn about fantastic products first hand!

Happy Monday
Today my Monday is going to be happy due to the fact that I have a fun Glambassador event to attend tonight! When they asked me to do a promotion with a local salon and Redken I could not have been more excited.
Having the chance to work with Glamour to discover new products is always a great opportunity. When those products come from a brand that you have trusted with your 'do for years then it is even more fun!
Tonight we will be learning all about the Diamond Oil line. Expect a full report soon, with reviews and pics from the event!

On My Radar
This week I have some various things that I am loving. Shoes, clothes add in a dose of Disney and throw in a little oil to keep you young! What's not to love?
Sure I generally want to wear a minimum of 4 inch heels to hike up what I am lacking vertically, but these sandals are the perfect turquoise color, extremely comfy and too darn cute. They make it okay to be a shorty for the day!
The print on this skirt caught my eye online, so much so that I made my way to the new Highland Village Anthro in Houston to see it in person. Unfortunately that day they were repaving the parking lot and getting to the store meant having to walk down a lane of traffic on one of the busiest streets in town. Not to worry...I was always good at playing Frogger and I now have the Eero skirt in my closet!
24 Hours of Disney
As part of a promotion for the upcoming film Monsters University Disney announced that they will be opening select parks for 24 hours on May 24. It also just so happens that yours truly has a day planned at Disneyland on that day!
While browsing in Sephora one day I was looking for a product that they did not have in stock. The sales associate offered her advice that the Maracuja Oil was far superior to what I originally came in for and gave me a sample. At first I was a bit hesitant to add oil to my face. Would I wake up looking like a teen on a Proactive commercial? That would not be good and it is my belief that by the time you are old enough to have wrinkles you should not also have to face pimples. Not to fear! The Maracuja Oil worked wonders! It makes your face so soft and it helps to smooth out wrinkles.

When in Doubt...Rock it Out
Lately I have been really stressed out about some things. One thing that always helps to pick me up though is listening to music and especially going to live shows. I've been trying to fit in as many concerts as possible into my schedule...because frankly it is cheaper than therapy when I am having a bad day!
This week we were able to catch Three Days Grace when they came through Houston. As you may know they have a new singer. Matt, from My Darkest Days is filling in. Being a fan of MDD it was very exciting to see how Matt fit into the lineup. Let me say I think he did a fantastic job! I truly enjoyed the show better than I did the last time I saw them with their original singer.
If you have not heard Three Days Grace with Matt here is a sample:
